Terms & Conditions

Service Fees

Services provided by Direct Health Solutions are not covered by provincial health care. As such, service fees are billed directly to the clients. Fees are based on the length of the visit. All appointments are a minimum of 60 minutes; Additional fees apply for visits outside of city limits, mobile lab services, and certain supplies. Fees are posted on our website and may change without notice. If a same-day appointment is requested and provided, an additional fee will apply.

An approved credit card pre-authorization is required prior to booking an appointment. Unless another form of payment is agreed upon and received, the pre-authorized credit card will be charged for all rendered services until the client withdraws consent to charge this credit card and another credit card is approved. All credit card information is securely stored and processed by a third-party payment processing provider that is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).

Cancellation/No-Show Policy

Because of the nature of our services, we have limited availability of appointments. Out of respect for both our practitioners and our other patients, we ask that you do your very best not to cancel appointments last minute or not show up for your scheduled appointments. Although our office does our best to provide you with a reminder one business day prior to your appointment, we do not guarantee this reminder call and request that any changes to your appointments be done with as much notice as possible. We understand that unanticipated events occur and request that if you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so with a minimum of 24 hours notice. If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours notice prior to your appointment, you will be charged 50% of the scheduled service price. If you do not show up at your scheduled appointment, you will be charged 100% of the scheduled service price.

Failed Payment Policy

If there is an outstanding balance on a client’s account, Direct Health Solutions has the right to decline services until the outstanding balance is paid in full.

Infection Prevention/COVID-19 Policy

For the health and safety of our practitioners and other clients, if you are advised to be in quarantine by Health Canada or have symptoms of COVID-19, we will not be providing in-person care. As an alternative, we are able to provide phone or virtual consultations. Because individuals may be asymptomatic carriers of infections, such as COVID-19, we request that all individuals attending the appointment wear a face mask and practice social distancing whenever possible until further notice.

Safety Policy

Direct Health Solutions is committed to providing a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all patients and staff. Words or actions that make others feel threatened or demeaned will not be tolerated and decisive action will be taken to protect both clients and staff. Actions and words that may be considered inappropriate include abusive language, intimidation, offensive jokes, discriminatory remarks, threatening behaviour or remarks, bullying, sexual harassment, and unwelcomed physical contact.

For the comfort and safety of our staff, we request that all potential hazards be removed from the environment prior to the visit. This includes smoke, incense, pets, weapons, illegal substances and drug paraphernalia. If the staff feel unsafe, uncomfortable or disrespected at any time during the appointment, the staff may leave immediately and the client will be billed for the full visit and all future visits may be declined. Our office may contact the staff during appointments to ensure the safety of the staff, so please be aware that they may check their phones during the appointment.
